Since 100% of the pet owners we meet are animal lovers, I thought I would share some information and pictures about his incredible trip.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"923\" src=\"https:\/\/www.drphilzeltzman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Lion-1-lion-on-road.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2558\" style=\"object-fit:cover\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.drphilzeltzman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Lion-1-lion-on-road.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.drphilzeltzman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Lion-1-lion-on-road-768x709.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When Malema swiftly moved from his tracker\u2019s seat, on top of the hood of the jeep, to the safety of the passenger seat, we knew that danger was near.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group went quiet in anticipation, staring at the road ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suddenly, two majestic male lions appeared, lounging in the middle of the road!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.drphilzeltzman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Lion-2-lions-on-road.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2559\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.drphilzeltzman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Lion-2-lions-on-road.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.drphilzeltzman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Lion-2-lions-on-road-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We held our breath, in complete disbelief. After all, this was our very first outing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lions just sat there, pretending to ignore us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At one point, one rolled on his back, like a household cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>700 pictures later, the lions decided they were bored of being the center of attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They got up, and peacefully walked around the jeep, one on each side, staring at us with curiosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They moved with effortless grace, with a silent, powerful stride. The lion on the right locked eyes with me. It lasted a second, but I will never forget it.
