George's Story of Slipped Disc and Paralyzation

George, an 8 year old Corgi, had won numerous awards during his life as the top show dog of the universe.

Unfortunately, he became paralyzed while in Poland.  Long story short, he eventually was flown back to PA and had an MRI at Animal Scan in Easton.  It showed a slipped disc in his back (between T12 and T13).  We did surgery on George, and he eventually recovered very nicely.

His owner KS writes: "I just wanted to share this photo with you.  Your former patient, George, attended the 2010 Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America National Specialty, just 20 months post-surgery.  He was found worthy of an Award of Merit, over some of the top winning Cardigans Welsh Corgi's in the country.  Thank you for everything you have done to make this possible!"

His owner, KS, dedicated a whole web page to George’s adventure, where she kindly writes:

“There are an amazing amount of people we need to thank.

First and foremost, we want to thank Dr. Phil Zeltzman, Valley Central Referral Center, for dropping everything on a busy Wednesday to perform the surgery on George.  Dr. Zeltzman could not have been more supportive, and we hope he realizes how much we appreciate it!”
