Layla's Story of Fractured Tibia

Layla was a 6 month old female Lab, who was treated at the AEC after jumping out of the car window after she opened the (electric) window with her paw!  The end result?  A really, really bad fracture of her left tibia (shin bone).  About 6 months later, her owner, PS, spontaneously writes:

“Dr. Zeltzman,
I just wanted to let you know that Layla is doing very well! The events of the day on which Layla decided to jump/fall out of the car window at the very young puppy age of 6 months while I was driving, play over and over in my head.  I have never been so scared in my life.  I couldn't have imagined losing her!!!
Layla just turned 1.  She has fully recovered and moves around as if her leg didn't have 12 screws, 3 wires and a big steel plate holding it together!

(…) I can't tell you enough how thankful I am that you were able to take care of Layla.  People like you and your staff make this world a better place.  Thank you!!"
