Ekko's Story of Twisted Intestine

Ekko is a very cute 4 month old German Shepherd puppy who came to our hospital with vomiting, diarrhea and anorexia.  He was thought of having a foreign body in his intestine.  While we did not find one, we found some abnormal intestine and performed a prophylactic gastropexy (to prevent the twisting part of the "bloat" or GDV condition).  He left our hospital happy, eating, with no vomiting and diarrhea, looking like nothing ever happened!  PL writes:
"Hello Dr. Zeltzman, (...) Thank you for saving our Ekko.  You are professional and very well spoken.  You not only are an excellent surgeon, you treat people like people.  I have been to too many doctors who talk down to you and make you feel as if you are not worthy of their time.  (...) I wish you well in all you do and pray you keep your excellent bed side manner along with your incredible surgical skills and knowledge.  It was a pleasure meeting you.
No disrespect intended but I hope I don't have to see you again :-)"
