Champ's Story of Bone Cancer

Champ, a 12 year old Labrador mix, had cancer (osteosarcoma) in his hip bone. His right back leg was amputated, then he had chemotherapy. LD writes: "We would like to express our gratitude for the care you gave to our "boy" Champ. This type of experience is difficult enough without having to worry about what kind of care he’ll receive. We deeply appreciated your kindness and compassion and we know full well he would not have received better care anywhere."
And a few months later: "Champ is doing very well, he is eating well, and he is getting along on 3 legs just fine. We take a walk every day, and sometimes I take him to this park that is close by. There is a lake there and he loves to swim after the ball. We are soon to get the 3rd and final chemo treatment. He tolerates them well. So all is good for now."
