Skye Blue and her multiple surgeries
Skye Blue, a sweet 10 year old Pit Bull, had not one, but two TPLOs (left side in 2011, right side in 2012) to address ACL tears in her knees. For no obvious reason, she started to lick her incision to the point of causing ongoing infections. The best solution was to remove the TPLO plates and screws. We took advantage of her anesthesia to remove 4 skin masses.
Right after surgery, her owner MB wrote these incredibly sweet words: “Skye Blue is out of surgery and did just fine! (…) Dr Phil Zeltzman is a wonderful surgeon! He has been amazing to my sweet girl and to me!! Very thankful she is in such capable and caring hands!”
