Bruno is enjoying life 6 months after his TPLO
Bruno, a 5-year-old German shepherd, had a TPLO to address a torn ACL. Six months after surgery, his owner AP writes:
“Dear Dr. Zeltzman, I wanted to give you an update on our beautiful boy Bruno. It's been six months since his surgery and he's back to being his playful, active self. We can't thank you enough for all you did to make sure our little man would be able to make a complete recovery and could once again go on long walks, chase squirrels and swim in the pool.
(Here are a few pictures of “his highness” enjoying the summer)
He’s not limping at all anymore. I would say he’s probably at ~ 95% and that’s purely my own bias because there are things we still won’t let him do like jump up (off the ground with all 4 legs) to catch a ball or bubbles in midair. Otherwise, he’s walking normally, running normally, swimming like a champ. I no longer see him favoring the other leg and can hardly tell which leg he had surgery on. His scar is barely visible and it’s only noticeable if he lays a certain way. (…)
Thanks again for everything! You are truly an amazing human being.”
