Luke's Story of Melanoma and Jaw Tumor
Luke, a 12 year old Lab, had a large tumor at the end of his lower jaw (aka mandible). He had a large portion of the lower jaw removed, maybe about 50%. The biopsy revealed malignant melanoma, an aggressive cancer. Three weeks after surgery, after suture recheck, his owner PA writes: “Luke had his 3 week postop recheck today. He's doing excellent. (…) He is eating like a chow hound since the 1st day we came home. He used to inhale his supper in 60 sec. now he has to enjoy it slower. (…) Thanks again for all you've done we really appreciate it. Cosmetically Luke looks beautiful, it just looks like his tongue grew, good job.”
